Two of the peal of nine bells in the tower of St. Andrew’s Church Kingston.

A hour of praise for the whole family. On this fourth Sunday of Advent, we cannot contain our celebration – we will sing hymns like ‘Go tell it on the mountain’ and ‘Joy to the world’. And in story and interpretative dance Lindsay, Olivia and Crystal will prepare us for Christmas by pointing to the witness of the bells.
Have a look at the Order of Service below, and join us! (It is also our White Gift collection – if you are able, for the women seeking shelter at Interval House, bring a gift card from Shoppers, Food Basics, Dollarama … in a white envelope)
There is a nursery for infants and young children up to three years. There is free parking along the streets around and in the public lot behind the church just off Queen Street.
And after the service, you are invited to linger for a congregational lunch in St. Andrew’s Hall!

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
