‘Standing at the portal of the opening year,
words of comfort meet us hushing every fear,
spoken through the silence by God’s loving voice,
tender, strong and faithful, making us rejoice.
Onward then, and fear not, children of the day,
for God’s word shall never, never pass away.’

And ‘words of comfort’ we receive indeed!

We will celebrate the arrival of the magi before the Christ Child, and recognize how we have been led to faith along our own journeys. We will hear the Risen Christ declare ‘I am … the bright morning star’ heralding the dawn of resurrection and peace (Revelation 22:16), and praised in a classic Epiphany hymn. We will share in Holy Communion with the Holy One who binds all the years and peoples together and is at work to bring good out of evil and life out of death (so you are invited to prepare some bread and a cup in advance of this service).

We invite you to join us in Christian worship by live-stream at  https://youtu.be/S1C47W87Xkk. Organ preludes will begin around 10:25 a.m. and the service will commence at 10:30 a.m. Previous services can be found on the St. Andrew’s Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/StAndrewsPresbyterianChurchKingston

Have a look at the Order of Service and announcements below – we invite you to join us in worship, study and service as you are able.

‘God will not forsake us and will never fail;
God’s eternal covenant ever will prevail.
Resting on this promise, what have we to fear?
God is all sufficient for the coming year.
Onward then, and fear not, children of the day,
for God’s word shall never, never pass away.’
