The movement of this scene is wonderful.
Varghese was a Malaysian artist who often painted from her deep Christian faith. Like in this painting. Jesus is at the centre, but where is headed, to whom is he travelling? This is not just ‘the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem’ – I feel Varghese challenging me to consider ‘the entry of Jesus into my life’.
